Oregon has an incredible natural beauty. It is diverse not only in locations, but also in culture, opportunities, and outdoor experiences. Not only does Oregon have mountains, and beaches, but also thousands of parks, shopping, community centers, and festivals.
Portland is renown for the Rose Festival. With the waterfront park, and beautiful downtown, bridges to other eclectic areas of the city make for a unique living experience.
Living in the suburbs also offer unique prospects. Numerous festivities are offered in each city, each with their own different take on the occassion. West Linn has a Bike Rodeo for kids in May, as well as farmers and artists markets. During the summer there are movies and music in the park.
In Tualatin, there is toddler time offered at the local library every month, as well as many different classes for all ages and tastes. There is also the Tualatin Commons with a fountain and lake surrounded by shops and dining.
In Sherwood, they have a great old town with neat shops as well as having the Robin Hood Festival in the summer. For car enthusiasts, there is a car show in the summer time as well.
In Newberg, there are wineries that will delight with their varied events and tastings. The best part is that although each community has a small town feel to them, they are all a short distance from downtown Portland. Each city has their own exceptional take on life that makes living in the Northwest the best place to be for anyone.
